PODA is a derived analytical framework for deciding how far a claim may travel before it becomes a commitment. It identifies the object, claim, stake, and requested step, then applies directed opposition to the relation most likely to change the case. If a defect appears, the case is reconstructed, narrowed, paused, or closed, maintaining what the available evidence supports, what remains unsettled, and the largest action the case can currently justify.
